High School Independent Art students challenged themselves to paint their first self-portraits using acrylic paints on oval canvas boards. Nice work....Helen, Jordyn, and Hunter! Vivian decided to turn a photo into a flat contour line image. She then transferred it to her canvas board and painted with acrylics. Why not add a floral collage next to it? #mix it up Art students created detailed drawings of butterfly wings using a circular view finder on cardboard circles. They used Crayola Portfolio Oil Pastels which allow for very smooth application. So proud of these 7th graders blending and smoothing their pastels with great patience.
Students used the iPad app My Flake to draw their preliminary snowflakes before folding and cutting their paper. It allows the students to see the cuts and full preview of the snowflake before drawing on their paper folds to cut out. They can see the changes that need to be made and think about images in it's full symmetry. Bonus: It saves a lot of paper cut mistakes! |
