Middle students had fun making designer owls using the medium of oil pastels. They allows the colors to be bold and blended. Simple paper collage was added for the environment. 3D O's foam glue dots were used to make the owl come away from the paper, it does not reflect in the photo.

High School Independent Art students challenged themselves to paint their first self-portraits using acrylic paints on oval canvas boards. Nice work....Helen, Jordyn, and Hunter! Vivian decided to turn a photo into a flat contour line image. She then transferred it to her canvas board and painted with acrylics. Why not add a floral collage next to it? #mix it up Students were asked to reflect on how they visualize themselves through words and images that best represent themselves. They needed to include their dreams, interests, career goals, and use a variety of art mediums on a 12x12 poster board in a creative design.
